We all have Hero and Dragon in us. Both like to be in control, but only one leads at a time. Whoever is in charge gets more powerful over time, and neither can destroy the other.
When Hero is in control, we are calm, clear-thinking, caring and creative.
Dragons on the other hand can be rash, confused, self-centered and even destructive. Dragons stem from negative emotions like anger, frustration and greed.
The object of Hero Dragon is to keep our heroes in charge as much as possible. When Dragons arise, we calm ourselves to restore Hero control.
Noticing Dragons and confronting them can be tricky. Collaborating with others is very helpful. Awareness practices empower the Hero by building the ability to notice and address brewing negativity.
Hero Dragon was born of a parental impulse to collaborate toward emotional awareness. As such, a workbook for parents is available.
